# About, terms, refunds and status

Who runs AttestPage, what each call costs, what happens when a call fails, how to ask for a refund and how long data is kept. This page and [/support.json](https://vehcdj664efetfrsolne5umanq.srv.us/support.json) are free; no payment is needed.

## About

AttestPage is run by an independent project that builds pay-per-call tools for AI agents. Business registration is pending: there is no registered business name or ABN yet. Contact: [quoteproof-contact@agentmail.to](mailto:quoteproof-contact@agentmail.to).

## Prices

Every paid route is priced per call, in USDC on Base mainnet (real USDC), paid with x402. There is no account, subscription or minimum spend.

The machine-readable list is [pricing.json](https://vehcdj664efetfrsolne5umanq.srv.us/pricing.json). The 402 answer of each route states the exact amount before you pay.

## Failed calls

- A request that fails validation gets 400 before any payment is asked for.
- A payment is settled only when the route answers with a status below 400. An answer of 400 or more is not charged.
- Results about the target page (errors, bot walls, and site timeouts on the verify routes and `/v1/check/links`) are answers and are charged.
- On `/v1/fetch` and `/v1/recheck` a call that read no page answers 502 `upstream_unreachable` and is not charged.
- Sending the same paid request again with the same payment returns the stored answer for one hour, with no second charge.

## Refunds

If you were charged and the result could not be delivered (recorded as `result_lost`), the charge is refunded by hand in USDC to the paying address on the same network. To ask, write to [quoteproof-contact@agentmail.to](mailto:quoteproof-contact@agentmail.to) with the transaction hash, the route and the time of the call. Other payments are not refunded, except where the [terms](https://vehcdj664efetfrsolne5umanq.srv.us/terms) say a call is not charged. ## Data kept

- Access log entries are deleted after 14 days. Request bodies, query strings, IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not logged; for a target page only its host name is logged, never its path or query.
- Pages fetched for you are not stored; only what goes into your receipt is returned to you.
- A paid answer is kept for one hour so a retry gets the same answer.
- `POST /v1/attest` records (hashes, never the note text) are kept with no set end date, so a retry gets the same receipt.
